Kevin has literally spent weeks planning, purchasing and preparing for the myriad details of tomorrow's Block Party to be held in our church's parking lot. Here he is on Saturday trying to get a few more things loaded into his car to take down there with him.
Saturday night bathtime for Caleb and Steven
Sunday evening at the Block Party: We had hot dogs, chips, drinks, pop corn, cotton candy, face painting,
jump house, train, broom hockey, turkey bowling, carnival games for the
little tykes, free drawings every 10 minutes, live music and
entertainment, school supplies, give-aways, scavenger hunt--everything
FREE. It absolutely dumped rain in the morning. It dumped rain while
we were setting up. And it dumped rain at 7:30 pm but in between we had
a hugely successful event with probably around 300 people in
attendance--WAY, WAY more than I had dared to imagine. Thank you,
Jesus.
