{Retro} Our last day at Disney Land~December 29, 2011

This beautiful rose is growing right outside our motel. Believe me, this is an unusual winter view for this Idaho girl.
For our last day at Disney Land we opted to rent a chair for Abby. She has been such a trooper but has about walked her legs off these last several days.

We had pretty much run out of our stash of trail mix and granola bars so we actually sat down at tables there in the Park to eat.

One more trip through "It's A Small World" The line took FFOORREEVVEERR. Seriously at LEAST 45 minutes.

"World of Color"
This was a little Mexican cafe right next to our motel. We got cheap refill drinks from the gas station/convenience store and then sat down for taco pastores. Our rooms were on the 3rd floor back toward the corner.

{Retro} Lego Land~December 28, 2011

These intricate buildings and even cities are created totally from thousands and thousands of Legos.

Back at Disney Land and Disney's California Adventure Park

Here we are back at Autotopia. I rode with Abby; Billy and James each rode with one of the little boys.
We stopped to watch the Jedi in Training program. Caleb was chosen to participate. He was so cute and it was cool to hear the whole crowd clapping and cheering for him when he was done.
These pictures were taken inside the roundish, slowly turning building that houses--Innoventions, I believe it is called-- all kinds of cool inventions. This was another place our crew would gladly have just wasted hours and hours.

We were trying to leave the Disney Land Park and get over to Disney California Adventure Park next door. Instead we got caught in the Christmas Parade again. This time, however, we were front row and could actually SEE. One of the stepsisters came over and shook Abby's hand.

My little guys especially enjoyed the Buzz and Woody floats.
Of course, the Grand Finale was Santa. Since it was past Christmas, Santa was thanking everyone for continuing to be good.
Over in the Adventure Park, we went to the "it's a bugs life" area where the scenery was constructed in such a way to make us all feel the size of insects, I guess.

Billy, of course, really liked the waterfalls on the back side of Grizzly River Run (my personal favorite.)

{Retro} SeaLife Aquarium and LegoLand~Dec. 26, 2011

We headed down toward San Diego and saw this beautiful marina on the way.

I was amazed once again at the huge-ness of the ocean :)
Here's our crew in front of Sea Life Aquarium

Caleb, Steven and maybe even Abby would have been quite content to just stay in this room and build onto the Lego castle.

On our way out of the aquarium I snapped a couple shots of Steven next to Big-Tooth. Steven had been a bit of a turkey in here--pushing on one of the alarmed doors so that ALL the guests got to enjoy the very loud and annoying sound for what seemed like forever--until someone finally got it turned off. Back at the motel he had set off the fire alarm inside the elevator.

Now we are next door at Lego Land. Again these guys would have been happy to just stand here and squirt water. However, we knew dark was fast-approaching so tried to keep moving on.

The little kids and the big Lego Santa. Kevin and the big kids were going on a whole different set of rides.
There was a car ride here, too. Somehow I didn't get a picture of Abby--but she actually liked this one better than Disney Land because she got to drive all by herself.
