{Retro} New Years Day~January 1, 2012

A big mountain of dirty laundry after nine people were away for 10 days.

Kevin and Billy watching TV sitting on the back seat of our van which we'd taken out of the van before the trip to allow for luggage. It is now an extra seat in our living room.

A sweet lady from our church (Pat) had little sacks waiting for each of our kids with treats and little crafts to make. James' kit had a small wooden ship to put together and paint; Abby's kit had rocks to paint and decorate with feathers, eyes, etc.

{Retro} Grand Canyon~December 31, 2011

Outside our motel at Williams, Arizona. Even the pool--actually a hot tub--was outdoors! Brrr!

We checked out of our motel room mid-morning on Friday, December 30 and drove and drove and drove and drove and finally got out of California :) We stopped for the night at Williams, Arizona. On the 31st we visited the beautiful Grand Canyon. This was on Kevin's "bucket list." Then Kevin drove and drove and drove and drove--something like 14 hours. We saw all kinds of fireworks going off across the valley in Utah as midnight approached. We pulled into our driveway about 4 a.m. on January 1. Happy New Year!
